The room&bed was super comfortable and well equipped. Kinda like a capsule hotel in Japan. Restrooms are enough because there are both private & public ones. The common area is a little bit small but with sofa and tea coffee. The location is good for the daytime especially if you take the cable bus. The hostel is part of the building which is also part of the music studio, you can hang around the building and listen to the songs through QR codes on the wall beside the historical band pictures.
I first stayed in a dorm room and moved to a single room for my last 2 nights. See my other review for details!' The room is quite spacious. What was super cool is the electric quitar I had in it (which was working. I tested it but cannot play to save my life). It is also away from the dangerous streets. You get a Tradee Joe and Whole foods both less than 10 min away from the hotel. There are some restraurants but I never ate there because 1. Spent more than I budgeted for my trip and had to save a bit more money and 2. With my dairy intolerance it is a big pain! I had a fridge and a sink in my room. The bed was comfy. I had towels and toiletries.
The themed room was excellent - it would of been great if you had a record player or some kind of music device to listen to music during the stay. We stayed in the Metallica themed room so Metallica records or a playlist.

Outstanding place! Rooms are newly upgraded and extremely clean, bathrooms are always clean, bed was comfortable. The hotel is quiet despite the music stage on the first floor. We went with a 1-year old baby and were extremely pleased. They have a small common room with coffee, microwave, and fruits always available. They also offer to keep your luggage for free after you check out. And the price is unbeatable!
Great location and great food around the block. The pods are so adorable, confortable and the customer service was great. The theme for the hotel is excellent, the lobby is a bar / stage. There was a comedy show when I walked into the building to check in, which was a pretty sweet first impression! I loved the show in the basement, the band was amazing and I had such a great time. They provide organic coffee and almond milk! Definitely coming back here!
Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff and absolutely loved the music shows
Check in was easy (I actually was able to check in very early) and the room was very quiet. The capsules created a nice sense of privacy. I got a concert the first night I stayed which was a nice surprise with dinner, and I loved the hallways lined with all the pictures and quotes. Also fun to have the cable car only two blocks away. I bought a three MuniMobile pass and road it to my heart's content.
The staff were super friendly, I liked the amenities room, the bathrooms, the showers, the bar area and the music etc
